Our team has started the process of restoring gear to players who were affected by a bug that resulted in some players losing equipped items. There will be no downtime required however, impacted characters will be temporarily locked out of their account while this work is completed.
Once completed:
- Impacted players will be able to log back in.
- Bags you had equipped will be in your inventory.
- Restored gear will be located in town storage. Depending on how full your storage is, you may find your restored gear is in different town storage locations.
We will post an update here once our team has confirmed that all impacted players have had their gear restored. Thank you for your patience.

The bug causing crafted items to have a lower gear score should be addressed after the update at 5am PT this morning:
Additionally, during this downtime we’ll also address the issue causing territory lifestyle buffs to not apply to characters, including all crafting and combat buffs.
No updates on compensation yet, we’ll pass on anything we hear on that topic as well.
Some foods that provide buffs are currently disabled. Be sure to check out that announcement over here.

We have discovered an issue where territory buffs could be applied twice and result in higher than intended gearscores on crafted items.
The best and safest way to mitigate the issue right now, with minimal negative player impact, is to disable all tiers of foods with the following buffs:
In the meantime, the team is actively working on a fix. Once we have an update, we will share it here.

We have granted all affected players the Marks of Fortune promised in the previous message.
Affected users should see an increase in their Marks of Fortune count in the Store. You may need to relog in order to see them.
The team is still actively working on the patch that will return the missing equipped items to players and we will follow-up here once that has been released.

Ah so you’re asking about compensation? I don’t have any updates on that at this time. Fenne’s reply is the most recent response we have.
Sorry, I don’t quite understand what type of information you’re looking for. Since the issue was resolved in last night’s patch, can you elaborate?

So here are the things I can think of if you aren’t seeing the Steam Overlay pop-up but you’re seeing the “Transaction in Progress” screen.
If that’s the case, you’ll need to have enabled both in-game and Steam. You can find the instructions to enable them here: Steam Support :: Steam Community Overlay
If you’re seeing the Steam Overlay but it’s blank:
Unfortunately, I can’t really think of any other situation why it wouldn’t appear. In the case none of the above work, I would recommend reaching out to Steam Support.
